Remote Course Structure
Developing a clear structure for remote courses.
Open and Distance Learning (ODL) has emerged as an effective approach to expanding access to higher education in Pakistan, particularly for learners facing geographical, financial, social, and other barriers to conventional campus-based education.
By utilizing flexible learning methods and educational technologies, ODL enables students to pursue higher education without the need to relocate or attend regular on-campus classes, thereby creating greater opportunities for women, working professionals, and learners in remote and underserved areas.
In line with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s policy framework for online and distance education, Alhamd Islamic University, Quetta, is taking steps to establish its Open and Distance Learning Directorate to make quality higher education more accessible, flexible, and inclusive. The University has been granted an initial No Objection Certificate (NOC) for establishing the ODL Directorate and intends to offer the proposed academic programs subject to the required HEC clearances and formal approval.
Through these programs, Alhamd Islamic University aims to broaden educational opportunities, promote lifelong learning, and contribute to the development of skilled, knowledgeable, and socially responsible graduates, particularly in Balochistan and other underserved regions of Pakistan.
Our priorities focus on academic readiness, faculty capability, learning infrastructure and stronger educational collaboration.
Developing a clear structure for remote courses.
Training faculty members in online teaching.
Ensuring that university facilities support distance learning activities.
Exploring partnerships with other organizations to strengthen educational opportunities.
Overall, this plan sets the direction for Alhamd Islamic University to become a leader in open and distance learning education. It strives to make learning more accessible, affordable, and effective for everyone interested in continuing their education.
